Have a Ball at SAC during the Holidays! There is something for everyone during SAC's 23rd Annual Holiday at the Center! The show opens November 12 with Gala/admission required event 6-8 pm. A public reception on Friday, November 13, 2-4pm. The show runs through December 30 with lots of special events and activities in between.

There is something for everyone during SAC's 23rd Annual Holiday at the Center! A preview show opens with the Holiday on the River Gala Saturday, November 12, 6-9pm. Tickets are $25 per person and include hors d'ouervres, spirits and dancing to the music of Ryan DeHues and his band. The public reception is Sunday, November 13, 2-4pm with refreshments and piano music by Richard Lahmann. Over 60 artists from all over Michigan are displaying and selling their original artwork, unique gift items and holiday decorations. Visitors are sure to find gifts at affordable prices for everyone on their gift lists. Over a dozen fabulous silent auction items are up for bid up through December 18 including oil paintings, jewelry, scarves, tiles, hand painted chair, antique beaded purse, books and a six-foot tin soldier. Also taking place on December 18 is the raffle drawing for the historic home on East Oliver Street. Tickets are available for $100 up until the time of the drawing.

Special Events & Dates to Remember
Children's Holiday at the Center
Sunday, December 4, 2-4pm
We will be offering this special event for children of all ages. It will include a Jingle Jam on the piano and we have invited Santa to stop by from 2:30-3:30pm. There will be face painting and holiday crafts to make and take. A representative from Totally Toys, of Laingsburg, will be present with a selection of unique gift ideas for children. The children's Gingerbread House Creations from the Saturday art classes will be on display. Refreshments will be served. It is open to the public and free of charge.

The Shiawassee Arts Center is located at 206 Curwood Castle Drive in Owosso and is open Tuesday through Sunday, 1-5pm. The Arts Center features the artwork of local and statewide artists in eight galleries including the Frieseke Gallery and a specialty Gift Shop. The public is welcome and there is no admission charge. The Shiawassee Arts Council, celebrating its 39th anniversary in 2011, is a non-profit corporation whose mission is to encourage participation and appreciation of the arts.
